Avani’s Lime Haze is a 23% THC Sativa-dominant medicinal cannabis flower created by crossing Gelato #33 and Super Silver Haze. Lime Haze is grown by ECS Botanics in Australia in LSO, in a certified organic facility using regenerative agriculture techniques. Hand-harvested and trimmed Lime Haze’s dominant terpenes are Terpinolene, Myrcene, Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene.
Gelato #33, also known as Gelato Kush, is a balanced hybrid cultivar created by crossing Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC. Gelato #33, is described as having compact buds, staying true to its Cookie genetics. With sweet citrus and fruity flavours and a terpene profile that’s dominated by Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Myrcene, Gelato #33 is said to offer uplifting and energetic effects and would be recommended for patients trying to manage symptoms of mild stress and anxiety.
I first covered Super Silver Haze in my review of Promethean BioParma’s Super Silver Haze for a quick refresher… Super Silver Haze was bred by Green House Seeds by crossing Northern Lights, Haze, and Skunk #1. Busting on to the scene in the late 90s she took first place at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1997, 1998, and 1999. She is an energetic, long-lasting body high recommended for patients suffering from stress, lack of appetite and nausea. Typically Super Silver Haze’s dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Limonene.
Review
Opening my 10-gram white plastic tub of Avani’s Lime Haze (batch PD-24001) I’m greeted by subtle notes of sweet, zesty lemon and lime. Although Lime Haze has a very citrus-forward profile there are hints of pine undertones and a faint earthiness.
Avani’s Lime Haze buds were mainly a vibrant light green and displayed a thick coating of frosty trichomes and bright orange pistils but their trim job could’ve been better.
Avani’s Lime Haze buds were on the smaller side, with an abundance of popcorn buds dominating the tub. They were somewhat tacky but brittle, suggesting possible issues with curing or moisture retention. When ground, the flower produced a chunky, uneven consistency, lacking the spongy cohesion needed to pass my Sticky Icky Test.
There was no humidity pack in my tub.
Starting at 190C in my Venty, Avani’s Lime Haze offers a sharp, refreshing flavour that brings to mind the crispness of a freshly opened can of Sprite. However, as I increased the temperature to 210C, Lime Haze quickly turned harsh losing her bright, zesty profile. While clearheaded and energizing at first, Lime Haze’s effects were fleeting and I found myself chasing effects, often needing two or even three dosing caps (a dosing cap for me is 0.15 of a gram) to feel any noticeable relief.
Avani’s Lime Haze would best be suited for mid-morning to mid-afternoon use.
Will I refill this prescription? No. Despite its promising lineage as a cross of Super Silver Haze, Avani’s Lime Haze lacked the dynamic energy I want from a Sativa-dominant cultivar, offering little in the way of focus, creativity, or motivation.
Priced at $135 Avani’s Lime Haze falls short of expectations, struggling to deliver the medicating session I was hoping for.

Another fine review Christina. I was holding out hope through the review as I love Sativa dominant flowers. You have saved me a dud purchase yet again😉. Any chance you could do a review from something from Bod? I know nothing about them, can’t see any reviews anywhere and they have two products that look interesting, Sour Chocolate Diesel and Platinum Kush both grown here. I’m really trying to stick to as many Aussie grown products as possible so that’s how they caught my eye. They could be rubbish or they could be a well kept secret 🤫 both of those are 15g for $99 so pretty much close to the current price for Tassie Botanics 28g tubs.
Thanks for this review, sounds rather disappointing. Although I’m sure it will have its place with some people as you have pointed out before. Definitely wouldn’t be a strain I’d be asking to try haha thanks again! Such lovely photos too.
