Canntrek’s C100 Amber Oil is a full spectrum oil. Full-spectrum oils contain all the beneficial compounds naturally found in the cannabis plant. It uses sunflower oil as its carrier and is amber in colour. I’ve been on Canntrek’s C100 Amber Oil since the beginning of my medicinal cannabis journey.

The oil itself has a mild bong water smell and taste, which I’m not a fan of. But who hasn’t splashed a bit of relatively fresh bong water on their lips while pulling too enthusiastically on a newly packed bowl, wiped it off, and carried on?

I’m with PlantMed based in Brisbane and they make you order a bottle of CBD oil with every prescription. I complained about it every chance I got because I thought it was a cash grab.

After going through the titration period my doctor and I settled on 0.6ml for breakfast and lunch and then 1ml an hour before bedtime. (2.1ml a day) Within a few months, I noticed improvements in my moods and sleep patterns.

Despite this, it wasn’t until I miscalculated a medication delivery leaving me out of oil for five days that I realized how much Canntrek’s C100 Amber Oil had been helping me. By the third day without it, I was back to my anxious, overthinking self, struggling to fall asleep at night.

Canntrek’s C100 Amber Oil has significantly improved my anxiety and insomnia.

However, at $190 for a 30ml bottle, it’s not cheap, and the sole reason why I cannot give it five stars. Cannatrek celebrated selling $75 million worth of T25 Topaz last month, while the rest of us were cursing the RBA and their 11th rate hike.

Medicinal CBD oil should be cheaper… Much, much cheaper.

2.1ml a day equals one bottle every 14.2 days. Ten months later, at $190 a bottle (311 days/14.2 days = 21.9 bottles), I’ve spent over $4,100.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective, I haven’t spent this much. Back in January, I adjusted to 0.5ml at 8 am and 8 pm and only have an extra 0.5ml when I’m stressed.

I shouldn’t feel stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to taking the medication I need or… paying my mortgage, my electric bill, my kid’s swimming lessons, or putting food on my family’s table.
