Chemovar’s Bling Blaow is a 25% THC, balanced hybrid medicinal cannabis cultivar created by crossing Glitter Bomb and Gastro Pop. Dry cured for six weeks, Bling Blaow features CBG levels under 2% and a terpene profile led by Delta-3-carene, Caryophyllene, Nerolidol, and Limonene.
Glitter Bomb, bred by Compound Genetics from Grape Gas #10 and OG Kush Breath Blueberry Headband, is an Indica-dominant cultivar boasting THC levels of 30-34%. Glitter Bomb is known for a blend of dank blueberry, grape, and gas aromas with a sweet-leaning flavour profile. With effects that include a euphoric head high followed by deep physical relaxation, Glitter Bomb is a popular choice among patients in the US for managing stress, anxiety, and migraines. Glitter Bomb’s dominant terpenes typically include Myrcene, Caryophyllene and Linalool.
Gastro Pop is another cultivar from Compound Genetics and is a cross of Apples & Bananas and Grape Gas. Compound Genetics considers Grape Gas, the parent of Gastro Pop, part of their "royal family," using it to create standout phenos like Gastro Pop #5 and #28. Gastro Pop has a sweet, sugary grape aroma with sour citrus and spicy diesel undertones. This Indica-dominant hybrid offers a euphoric mental lift followed by soothing body relaxation. Typically high in Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Myrcene, Gastro Pop would be recommended for patients trying to manage symptoms of appetite loss, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and mild pain.
Review
Opening my 10-gram plastic tub of Chemovar’s Bling Blaow (batch B-188-0424) I’m greeted by the aromas of sweet and sugary grapes and blueberries followed by floral notes and a hint of sour citrus.
My tub contained mostly small to medium size buds that ranged in colour from light to dark green. The buds were dense and covered evenly in trichomes. Most of Bling Blaow’s buds had a balanced spread of rust-coloured pistils, though some showed clusters on one side with fewer on the other.
Fluffying up nicely with an even grind every time Chemovar’s Bling Blaow passes my Sticky Icky Test. (My tub contained a 62% Integra Boost pack and a replacement indicator that turns blue when it needs to be replaced. At the time of publication, mine was still an orangish colour.)
Starting at 180C in my Venty, Chemovar’s Bling Blaow has a very floral but vaguely soapy flavour with hints of blueberries followed by honey undertones. Bling Blaow's effects are subtle at first seamlessly lifting my mood and enhancing my mental focus. It’s only later, once I’m deep into my day, that I fully appreciate Bling Blaow’s ability to maintain a clear-headed experience. I rarely went above 205C with this cultivar. However, I did notice a significant drop in vapour robustness after 200C. Chemovar’s Bling Blaow is best suited for a mid-morning to mid-afternoon slot in my rotation.
Will I refill this prescription? No. At $138, Chemovar’s Bling Blaow is an enjoyable vape with a unique flavour profile and consistent effects, making it a good choice for activities like housework or hobbies. While Bling Blaow provided moments of creativity, these bursts were fairly subdued compared to Tasmanian Botanics's Garnet. Overall, Bling Blaow didn’t quite impress me as much as some of Chemovar’s other flowers.

I’m not sure about this one. I think I like the effects from Royal Gorilla better. But nice aroma. Would you think Garnet or Jade would work in a similar slot? This one is in my early afternoon slot, I normally have Ultra Sour or Amnesia Haze early in the day.
Great review by the way and very fair. Lately most products I get seem to be very dry or dry out very fast. Only one I have with any bounce is Amnesia Haze. I’m open to some new Sativa atm I’ve been in the Ultra Sour for nearly a year I think.
