Chemovar’s Daily Grape batch LW-DG-020-823 is a 28% THC Indica-leaning medicinal cannabis cultivar that also contains <2% CBG. A cross between Daily Driver and Grape Pie, Daily Grape is grown aqua organically by Stewart Farms in Canada. Her dominant terpenes are Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Linalool.
Daily Driver is a balanced hybrid cultivar that’s a cross between Sundae Driver and Cookies 'N Cream. Daily Driver boasts a super sweet, creamy vanilla ice cream taste, with notes of nutty chocolate and sugary candies similar to a chocolate sundae with a touch of earthiness. Known for its strong munchie-inducing effects, Daily Driver starts off with a happy and uplifting experience, transitioning to a relaxing and couch-locking sensation on the backend. This cultivar is recommended for patients trying to treat conditions such as chronic pain, mood swings or depression, PTSD and chronic stress or anxiety.
Grape Pie is the result of crossing Cherry Pie with the Gage Green Group's Grape Stomper. This cultivar has a sweet and sugary aroma that transforms into a fruity, berry pie flavour as you inhale, complemented by a nutty, slightly spicy note on the exhale. When it comes to the effects, Grape Pie starts with an uplifting head high before mellowing out into a relaxing, non-sedative experience, often accompanied by an attack of the munchies. With Limonene, Myrcene, and Linalool as Grape Pie’s dominant terpenes, this cultivar is frequently recommended for patients suffering from chronic stress or anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain and mood swings.
Review
As I cracked open my 10-gram tub of Chemovar's Daily Grape, a sweet, fruity grape scent wafted out to greet me.
Although Chemovar has increased the weight of their tubs from seven grams to 10, their container size has remained the same.
My tub consisted of mostly smaller dense buds that were medium to light green in colour with a smattering of darker green leaves, evenly coated with orange stigmas and had an abundance of trichomes, albeit with a more petite structure. Daily Grape passes the Sticky Icky Test.
At 170C Chemovar’s Daily Grape is smooth and enjoyable in my Mighty+. True to its genetics, Daily Grape offers a flavour profile reminiscent of a fruity dessert, with a subtle earthy aftertaste. This cultivar starts off more uplifting and clear-headed but effortlessly transitions into something more laid-back with slightly munchie-inducing effects. Daily Grape easily melts away any stress or anxiety I may have been experiencing before my medicating session.
Daily Grape shines as a mid to late-afternoon medicinal cannabis option. However, it doesn't quite measure up in the flavour department when compared against Phytoca's Zurple Punch and generally speaking, I tend to lean away from cultivars that trigger the munchies. At a price tag of $158 despite its enjoyable and effective qualities, Chemovar's Daily Grape doesn't quite secure a place on my rotation list.
