When I heard that SatiVite was bringing the famous Mac1 strain to Australian shores I was beyond excited. Renamed upon release as Moorok 21, she is a balanced 50/50 cross between Miracle 15 and Alien Cookies F2 and was originally bred by a gentleman known only as “Capulator”.
The interesting thing about the original Mac1 is that it’s a triploid. What exactly is a triploid and why should you care? Triploids are plants with three sets of chromosomes which translates into more desirable characteristics such as darker leaves and bigger flowers. But the flip side to that is they’re typically highly infertile, so they don’t really produce seeds and can only be grown from cuttings. Mac1 is often called “Capulator’s Cut” for this very reason. In the beginning, Capulator was notoriously picky about who he gave clones to, which made finding a true Mac1 cultivar extremely difficult, adding to its legendary status. (Capulator has since confirmed he bred a second version of the strain and it’s this second version that I think we are getting here in Australia.)
Review
Opening the seven-gram tin the buds were small to medium in size, firm with minimal red hairs, but broke up easily in my grinder giving off a clean citrusy aroma. Mac1 doesn't pass the Sticky Icky Test. With a terpene profile high in Pinene, Myrcene, Linalool, and Caryophyllene Mac1 has a unique flavour that can best be described as piney, almost woody, and slightly sweet and citrusy. (Even though it’s not listed in the COA on honahlee there is definitely some Limonene in Mac1’s terpene genetics.)
Mac1 left me feeling euphoric, energetic and uplifted. Any stress or anxiety I may have been experiencing melted away in the 175C-185C zone. SatiVite has done a great job with curing the flowers and I was easily able to get 20+ pulls from each of my 0.15 of a gram dosing caps in my Mighty+. It takes a bit to settle down but when it does it’s just a nice happy high.
At 21% THC and $129 for seven grams Mac1 is a winner and this is a strain that I’ll order again.

Have you tried Moorok 21? If so, leave a comment I’d love to hear what you thought!
Think your right about the Limonene, its the main terpene in the Alfie Mac-1, which I found the tastiest of any flowers used.
