Sativite’s Truro is a 26% THC Indica leaning medicinal cannabis flower that is a cross between Jealousy and Apples and Bananas. Cultivated in Canada under artificial lighting conditions, Truro is hand-harvested and trimmed before being dry-cured for three weeks. Truro’s dominant terpenes are Limonene, Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Linalool, and Humulene.
Leafly’s Strain of the Year in 2022, Jealousy is a cross between Cookies Gelato 41 and Sherbet Bx1 and was originally bred by Seed Junky Genetics. Available in Australia under the Cultiva brand, Jealousy is said to produce balancing effects providing both a relaxing body high and a boost of euphoria paired with touches of creativity. Typically high in Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Myrcene Jealousy is recommended for patients who are suffering from conditions such as depression, stress, nausea or appetite loss.
I covered Apples and Banana’s genetic family tree in my review of Endoca’s Apples and Bananas at the end of September last year (2023). For a quick refresher, Apples and Bananas has a more complex family tree than your average cannabis cultivar and starts with a cross of Platinum Cookies with Grandaddy Purple, which is then crossed with Blue Power and then with Gelatti. Apples and Bananas’ dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Ocimene, Pinene, and Caryophyllene and she would be typically recommended for patients trying to manage symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression.
Review
Opening my 10-gram tin of SatiVite’s Truro (batch JAB2387) I’m greeted with the aromas of buttery apple and earthy fuel.
The smaller olive green buds were mixed with darker green leaves. Nicely trimmed with a generous dusting of trichomes and bright orange pistils, SatiVite’s Truro passes the Sticky Icky Test leaving a resinous coating on my fingers each time I conducted the test.
Staring at 180C in my Venty SatiVite’s Truro has an earthy, mildly spicy, buttery flavour. She is very smooth producing nice robust vape clouds the closer I crept to 200C. Truro’s effects start with an uptick in mood followed by waves of relaxation with a noticed release of the tension I sometimes keep in my shoulders. She is a happy clearheaded high that eases my anxiety. Truro isn’t sedating meaning it could fit into a late morning to late afternoon slot in my rotation.
Will I refill this prescription? No. I was super excited to try SatiVite’s Truro because I was such a big fan of Endoca’s Apples and Bananas and while Truro did offer some relief from my anxiety, it didn't quite succeed in calming my overactive mind or easing the general agitation I've been feeling lately. This was also a cultivar I often found myself reaching for a second, and sometimes even a third, dosing cap before achieving my desired therapeutic effect. (A dosing cap for me is 0.15 of a gram.) Priced at $159, Truro is a pleasurable vaping experience; nevertheless, it didn't fully meet my medicinal needs as I had hoped it would.

I was excited to see what you thought of this flower. I switched to it from Apples and Bananas which I had in my afternoon slot for months. I was a bit disappointed I really liked Apples and Bananas. So I thought this was a bit of a let down. The quality was fine it just didn’t gel with me as a strain. I’m thinking of going back to Apples and Bananas but perhaps the one from Aura Therapeutics. I have found Craft Botanics Spritzer a better fit in that slot for me. Another wonderfully thorough review. Way to go. Thanks for the good content.
Your comment about needing 2-3 caps to achieve desired effects, I definitely have come across strains like this, but all I've been able to articulate is "I like this flower but I wish it did its job better" 😅
