Tasmanian Botanics’s balanced 25:25 oral liquid contains 25mg/ml THC and 25mg/ml CBD. It’s a full-spectrum cannabis oil meaning it contains all the beneficial compounds naturally found in the cannabis plant. Grown, produced and packaged locally in Tasmania this balanced oil is based on sustainably sourced MCT (coconut) oil and is a combination of the Tassie Highlands and Candy Kush CBD cultivars.
Tassie Highlands was an Indica-leaning hybrid flower grown by Tasmanina Botanics but has since been discontinued. It was a cross between Afghan Kush X Skunk and Super Haze X Amnesia. It was grown outdoors using only natural light sources with no pesticides or chemicals. Tassie Highlands’s dominant terpenes were Caryophyllene, Limonene, Linalool, Myrcene, and Pinene.
The original Candy Kush (also spelled Kandy Kush) was a cross between OG Kush (thought to be a “Christopher Wallace” cut) and Trainwreck. Candy Kush got its name because it has a sweet candy aroma mixed with a strong lemon Kush scent. It is popular with medicinal growers in the US as it provides a strong body high with noticeable pain relief. Candy Kush’s dominant terpenes are Limonene, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene,
Candy Kush CBD is an Indica-dominant flower and was a joint effort between CBD Crew and Dutch Passion. It is a cross between Candy Kush and an unnamed high-CBD variety plant. It was created for patients with a low tolerance or those treating conditions such as pain, inflammation, or anxiety. Typically Candy Kush CBD has a balanced THC-to-CBD ratio with Caryophyllene, Myrcene, and Limonene as the most common terpenes.
Review
I’ve been using Tasmanian Botanics’s balanced 25:25 oil for almost nine months now. It was the third oil I tried after Cannatrek’s C100 Amber oil and Althea’s THC 20:CBD 1 oil. The oil is light golden with minimal taste and smell.
At first, I was taking the oil at night about 30 to 45 minutes before bedtime and while it was decreasing the amount of time it was taking me to fall asleep, it wasn’t increasing my nightly deep sleep minutes. Instead of continuing to up my dosage and use the oil at night, as my doctor had suggested, I took a few weeks off and restarted taking it in the mornings with better success.
I was originally administering the oil sublingually but now I mix it into probiotic yogurt.
At $119 for a 30ml bottle, I use it sparingly for two reasons. I suffer from the First Pass Effect something I’ve talked about in other reviews, so I need a larger dose than someone who doesn’t, meaning the oil isn’t cost-effective for me. (Not to mention too much coconut oil can most definitely lead to an upset stomach.) I use the oil more as a supplement to my morning routine to enhance and elongate the effects of the flower I’m currently vaping on days when I know a late morning medicating session may not be possible.
The only real negative I have about this oil is not about the oil itself but rather the eye dropper that’s provided by Tasmanian Botanics. The bottle doesn’t properly seal when you switch from the original cap to the eye dropper. If I knock my bottle over and don’t notice right away, it leaks… Badly! Which ultimately means this medication isn’t travel friendly.
Tasmanian Botanics’s balanced 25:25 oral liquid is a five-star product with a two-star eye dropper…

Shame about the eye dropper. Wish Humacology had a measure on their eye dropper like this.
Does anyone know if the Tasmania botanical 25/25 oil can be used in a vapourizer or only for sublingal users?
