Shame about your reaction. Having no sense of smell myself my whole life, over the years I've had a few different strains do this to me also. But since starting MC 12 months ago, only Levin 26 Indica has caused that same reaction.
It's somthing that I've started paying closer attention to for sure and I'm starting to realize it happens more than I thought. However, nothing has been as strong as my reaction to QS.
Another thorough and great review. I’m a bit disappointed though, I was thinking of putting this in my next rotation in my morning day spot. I like a good Sativa dominant strain. I’ve been using Ventura Dawg, which funny enough you gave three stars also. I agreed with your conclusion on that one also, it’s not a super clear headed strain. I have only had Sativite Okanagan and the Ventura in that spot. But like you what I’m after is an energetic clear headed strain with focus. Got any suggestions? I do like the look of Queen Sangria, she has a nice looking flower. Sorry it didn’t work for you.
Ventura Dawg got a 4 and Queen Sangria would’ve got a 4 if I hadn’t had the reaction. ;)
Like you I’m on the hunt for a morning cultivar with effects similar to Promethean BioPharma’s Super Silver Haze as my pharmacist had told me it’s in very limited supply. SatiVite’s Okanagan is on my list to try as I’ve heard good things about it.
I’m sorry I miss quoted you, I should have gone back and checked. I really like Okanagan it’s got that real clear energetic buzz to it and it wears off gradually and gently. At the moment I’m finding it’s not strong enough. Sativite have some other Sativa dominant strains I would like to look at. I’ve had Kannbi and the Okanagan from them. Kannbi is a great evening vape for sleep issues. Has more dimension to it than Topaz.
Now that you have said it. My doctor isn’t keen on strains over 25% I’ve found some strains that tick a lot of the right boxes but then come in at 27-29% thc which like you I want it at the front end of my day when I need to be productive and at a therapeutic level not at a recreational level. I haven’t had anything that high so it’s hard to know how if it’s something I can tolerate.
Lol Kannbi is another one on my list to try! But yeah finding a Sativa that is energetic, uplifting, clearheaded and focused is a bit tricky. Personally I’m happier (and more productive) in the mornings with cultivars that are less than 20%. But the market is getting flooded with high THC products so it’s making is harder to find that perfect flower for my morning rotation spot.
