Grow SB’s Lemon Cream Cake is an Indica-leaning hybrid created from a cross between Lemon Jack and Sour Cream. Bred in collaboration with MotherLabs and Craft Kings, this flower is cultivated in small batches on Vancouver Island, Canada, using coco and artificial light. After harvest, the plants are hung to dry before being hand-trimmed and cured for four weeks in tote bags. Lemon Cream Cake features a terpene profile, with dominant notes of Terpinolene, Ocimene, Limonene, Myrcene, and Pinene.
Lemon Jack is a cross between Jack Herer and Lemon Kush known for its refreshing citrus aroma and energizing effects. Lemon Jack has a zesty lemon scent, complemented by subtle earthy and herbal undertones. When vaped Lemon Jack delivers a crisp, lemon-forward taste with hints of sweetness and a slight peppery finish. For patients in the US, this cultivar is often chosen for its ability to enhance focus, boost mood, and alleviate stress without causing anxiety. Lemon Jack is typically high in Limonene, Terpinolene, Myrcene and Caryophyllene.
Sour Cream is a sativa-dominant cross between G-13 Haze and Sour Diesel and is a balanced hybrid cultivar. Its aroma is a complex mix of tangy sourness and creamy sweetness, reminiscent of a sour dairy product with a subtle earthy undertone. Sour Cream is said to deliver a smooth and creamy taste with a citrusy, slightly sour edge that lingers on the palate. Sour Cream is prized for its balanced effects, offering a combination of mental clarity and physical relaxation. Typically high in Myrcene, Pinene, and Caryophyllene Sour Cream would be recommended for patients trying to manage symptoms of chronic pain, stress, and anxiety.
Review
The moment I opened my 10-gram tub of Grow SB’s Lemon Cream Cake (batch 90215), I was greeted with a vibrant burst of sweet lemon. The aroma was rich and inviting, with layers of citrus and a sugary undertone that hinted at the cultivar’s name.
Upon grinding, those citrus notes became even more pronounced, with the sweetness evolving into something reminiscent of lemon candy.
Mostly dark green with bright vivid orange pistils Grow SB’s Lemon Cream Cake buds had a generous coating of trichomes.
Dense and spongy Lemon Cream Cake ticks all the boxes and easily passes my Sticky Icky Test. If anything the small to medium sized buds were slightly on the moister side occasionally clogging up my grinder.
Starting at 170C Grow SB’s Lemon Cream Cake is smooth and flavorful, tasting like a blend of lemon zest and cream, with a sugary finish. The effects came on fairly quickly. Within minutes, I felt a soothing wave of relaxation wash over me, easing the tension in my body melting away the day’s stress and quieting my overthinking mind. Despite its calming nature, Lemon Cream Cake didn’t leave me couch-locked. Instead, it provided a balanced mix of relaxation and mental clarity. I found myself feeling both calm and creatively stimulated, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day without completely shutting down allowing me to go about my evening with ease.
Will I refill this prescription? Yes. If I were to confess to a fan crush, it would be for MotherLabs. There’s something about their genetics that just works for me, especially how they’ve managed to highlight Terpinolene and Ocimene in some of their flowers. It’s like they’ve cracked the code for what my body responds to best. Even in smaller doses, Lemon Cream Cake gave my old favourite, Promethean BioPharma’s Super Silver Haze a run for its money. While I’m sad to retire Craft Botanics’s Spritzer, Grow SB’s Lemon Cream Cake, priced at $155, offers more versatility for my medicinal needs fitting seamlessly into my routine alongside ANTG’s Miss Kim and the occasional guest appearance from Phytoca’s Amnesia Haze.
