I read the The Age piece and as someone who takes Medicinal cannabis for stage four endometriosis - a chronic inflammatory disease, my jaw was on the floor to see tubs of 30% flower lined up on the side.
I only take 30% for flare ups. The kind that otherwise would be managed with opioids at hospital.
My heart also really goes out to the parents of the man who died - how terrible to be contacting any company to say ‘this person is dead’ and not have your request respected. It’s abhorrent and must’ve been so distressing. I understand their pain and anger.
It’s also no reflection of the industry at large and it’s clear the space is in need of a purge because there was massive clinicial negligence here and let’s not forget the majority of patients take med can for chronic pain and are stable on the medication so it’s also important we don’t panic and conflate these dire situations as being emblematic of “what happens when you take medicinal cannabis” - the accountability here lies firmly on Dispensed.
Couldn't agree more! This industry needs legitimacy to be taken seriously. Dispensed are the antithesis of who we should ever want to see involved with this wonderful plant.
Agreed! It’s truly disappointing how badly Dispensed has tarnished an industry when most of the players are trying their best to do what’s right by the patients.
Right? It’s difficult isn’t it? Particularly when such a swath of the population is still uneducated about the reality of medicinal cannabis and its complexities. Hopefully with more education like through this

It is hard to comprehend that such greed and ignorance can exist in healthcare.
