Green Shepherd’s Slurricane is a 21% THC Indica leaning hybrid and is a cross between Do-Si-Dos and Purple Punch. She is cultivated indoors in South Africa, where she is harvested and trimmed by hand. Slurricane’s dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Pinene, and Limonene.
Do-Si-Dos is a hybrid of OG Kush Breath, a phenotype of GSC (formerly Girl Scout Cookies) and Face Off OG from Oregon’s Archive Seed Bank. There were various F2 Do-Si-Dos phenotypes such as #9, #18, and #22. These cultivars are reputed for their tall growth and moderate yields within a 70-day flowering period. Notably, as reported by Archive Seed Bank the entire F2 line displays occasional hermaphroditic traits, inherited from the OG Kush Breath parent, affecting around 5% of the population.
Among the released phenotypes, #9 stood out as the most potent, characterized by its dense resin production and significant dry sift hash yields. It boasted a robust cookies-and-kush aroma and flavour profile. In contrast, #18 showcased prominent resin glands and a robust OG Kush aroma, while #22, a purple and aromatic phenotype, is recommended for creating ice hash because of its distinctive grape flavour.
Crowned the Leafly Strain of the Year in 2021, Do-Si-Dos has been described as earthy, floral, funky, and sweet in both its flavour and aroma. With dominant terpenes of Limonene, Caryophyllene and Linalool Do-Si-Do is recommended for patients managing stress, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain.
I covered Purple Punch’s genetics in my review of Phytoca’s Zurple Punch but for a quick refresher… Purple Punch is a cross between Granddaddy Purple and Larry OG. Praised for its sweet berry and grape flavours Purple Punch is said to pack both a head and a body high. Sometimes referred to as a “dessert” cultivar, Purple Punch is typically high in Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Pinene and is recommended for patients trying to treat symptoms of nausea, stress, minor pain, and insomnia.
Review
Opening my 10-gram tub of Green Shepherd’s Slurricane I’m immediately greeted with the aromas of mangoes and pine cones with a slight hint of lime.
The dense brownish-coloured buds had a classic spade shape, a beautiful coating of trichomes and an abundance of amber-coloured stigmas. However, considering the manual harvesting and trimming process, they tended to have a noticeable stemmy quality.
Green Shepherd’s Slurricane passes my Sticky Icky Test.
Starting at 165C Green Shepherd’s Slurricane is smooth and has a tropical, mangoey, earthy taste.
Slurricane comes on in waves. She is a euphoric, energetic head high while also being a relaxing body high at the same time. It takes a bit to fully settle into these effects but Slurricane easily tackled my stress and anxiety while still allowing me to be productive which can sometimes be a fine line. Too relaxing to start the day with Slurricane is more of a late-morning to mid-afternoon type of cultivar.
Will I refill this prescription? Maybe, there are a lot of things I like about Green Shepherd’s Slurricane. But to secure a position in my rotation it’s up against Cannatrek’s Sapphire at $135, Chemovar’s Premo OG Kush at $138, and Tasmanian Botanics’s Jade at $125 with Endoca’s Apples and Bananas being my splurge for that time slot at $298 for 20 grams all of which are cheaper than Slurricane’s price point of $150.
What I’m saying is, if Slurricane’s price point was more in line with the others I’d be willing to let the stemmy trim job go and would refill my prescription.
I’ve said it before… Higher price points come with higher expectations and while Green Shepherd’s Slurricane produces the effects I’m after that by itself isn’t enough to bump any of the other flowers out of rotation.

Another superb review.
It does make me wonder how much is Green Shepherd paying their trimmers.
