Last bit of housekeeping before my first anniversary…
As a special way of thanking my top 100 subscribers, I put together a small goodie bag. As this is/was something 100% coming out of my pocket I had to draw the line somewhere and limited this first year’s goodie bags to Australian addresses only.
Because of this limitation, I have some goodie bags that still need homes! If you would like a goodie bag you must…

Kind Medical’s Azure is the cultivar Blue Dream a 17% Sativa categorized flower that crosses Blueberry and Haze. According to the Leafly website, “Blue Dream originated in California and has since achieved legendary status among West Coast strains and has quickly become one of the most-searched-for strains in the Leafly database.”
Azure comes from Canada where she is greenhouse-grown in coconut husk fibre, under natural light, then harvested and trimmed by hand. Azure’s dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Pinene, Farnesene, Caryophyllene, and Humulene.
Blueberry, also known as "Berry Blue," is an Indica-categorized cultivar believed to be the result of crossbreeding Purple Thai and Thai. Awarded the title of Best Indica at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2000, Blueberry has its roots in the late 1970s when American breeder DJ Short began experimenting with various exotic landrace cultivars. Because DJ Short collaborated with multiple seed banks and breeders Blueberry's genetics have been widely circulated. High in Myrcene, Caryophyllene and Pinene, Blueberry is recommended for patients suffering from stress, pain and anxiety.
I covered Haze in Maali’s Sky review and Promethean BioPharma’s Super Silver Haze review but for a super quick refresher… Haze is recommended for the treatment of depression, stress, bipolar disorder, digestive issues, lack of appetite, and inflammation. Her dominant terpenes are Myrcene, Pinene, and Caryophyllene.
Review
The faint smell of berries, pine and grass that was cut the previous week greeted me as I opened my 10-gram bag of Kind Medical’s Azure (Batch: 04664). I’m not a fan of the foil bag and struggled a bit the first few times I tried to open it but I will admit it uses less plastic than conventional tubs, which is my biggest grip about the cannabis industry in general… too much waste. There was no humidity pack included in my bag.
Azure’s buds were light to olive green in colour, had good trichome coverage and a decent amount of light orange pistils. Dense and spongey Azure left residue on my fingers when squeezed but failed to pass the Sticky Icky Test.
Not the worst trim job, but certainly an area for improvement; Azure was a bit on the stemmy side. However, she is priced reasonably at $120 for 10 grams.
Starting at 170C Azure has little vapour and only a slight berry flavour. However around the 185C mark in my Venty, Azure begins to produce more robust vape clouds but remains lacking in the flavour department. Her effects are like waves… relaxing, calming and happy consistently leaving me feeling warm and fuzzy. Sometimes you’re in a grumpy mood for no particular reason and need a little something to help shift your state of mind Kind Medical’s Azure is it… she’s lovely in every sense of the word.
Will I refill this prescription? First I’ve got to apologise to Kind Medical. My first product from Kind Medical was Dulce. The flower's effects were rather average, with dry buds and even a pinky-sized stem in my bag. My next product from Kind Medical, their Luna cartridge. It did not agree with me at all and gave me wicked headaches. So, I essentially wrote them off as a company that wasn't for me and hadn't tried anything from them since. The only reason I got this prescription is because I'm currently on a bit of a low THC kick, and there aren't many flowers that meet that requirement.
Which is why I have to apologise to Kind Medical because Azure is lovely and that warm fuzzy feeling I was talking about stays with you after the high has worn off. Similar to Green Shepherd’s Queen Nandi, Azure isn’t a five star product but I'll still be refilling this prescription.
Azure effectively keeps my stress and anxiety at bay, and because of its low THC content, it seamlessly fits into just about any time slot, making it a very versatile flower that just about anyone can enjoy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars)

As usual a very helpful review. Good background with the genetics, I like the back story to a strain I’m also a fan of DJ Short. I like how you have mentioned the landrace genetics, I have long had an interest in the landrace genetics. Mainly as that was all we had in the eighties. If it was legal I would be growing some good landrace varieties especially Thai. I appreciate how you are covering some lower thc products too as that had been on my mind also. Thanks for another helpful review.
Sounds great 👍 much appreciated.
